Caitlin Koury
Director of Health Care Practice
Caitlin Koury joined the Checkmate team after working as an associate in a major Washington D.C. law firm’s health care practice group, where she counseled life sciences clients on market access and health care compliance matters, including regulatory and policy issues under federal health care programs. Caitlin’s expertise includes coding, coverage, and reimbursement, strategic contracting, interactions with health care professionals, price reporting, fraud and abuse, and other aspects of federal and state regulation of pharmaceuticals, biologics, and medical devices.
Previously, Caitlin served as a leading health policy consultant at a life sciences government affairs company, where she established the Institute for Gene Therapies and routinely advocated before the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). As part of her legal training at Georgetown University Law Center, Caitlin completed a law clerkship with the U.S. Senate Finance Health Care Subcommittee. Caitlin also served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Robert E. Payne in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. She graduated from Georgetown University with a degree in Health Care Policy and Management.
