Hiroshi Kaneko, Ph.D.

Born in 1964, Hiroshi Kaneko is a seasoned business executive, investor, and entrepreneur with more than three decades of experience in corporate finance, strategic investment, cross-border M&A, technology, and international business. He earned his Ph.D. in Engineering from the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology at The University of Tokyo in 1997.

Throughout his career, he has been involved in a broad range of areas including corporate management, investment, M&A, and business development in Japan and international markets. He has developed extensive experience in corporate strategy, business transformation, capital markets, financial strategy, and international business. As a senior executive, he has also led business operations and growth strategies while participating in investment, technology, and infrastructure-related initiatives.

At CHECKMATE JAPAN Inc., he serves as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), where he is responsible for financial strategy, investment planning, and capital structuring, while supporting the financing and development of large-scale AI data center and digital infrastructure projects. Working closely with the company's leadership, financial institutions, investors, and strategic partners, he supports the development of bankable project structures and contributes to CHECKMATE JAPAN's long-term growth from both financial and investment perspectives.
