Kenichi Kawamura

Kenichi Kawamura was born in 1976. After graduating from the Faculty of Law at Aoyama Gakuin University, he completed a Master's degree at the Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Information Studies at the University of Tokyo. He has previously served in key positions, including Secretary to the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Secretary to the Chief Cabinet Secretary, and Policy Secretary to a Member of the House of Representatives. He also played a central role in the formulation of the Basic Act on Space Policy at the Cabinet Secretariat's Space Development Strategy Promotion Secretariat.
He has deep expertise in space policy, science and technology strategy, and remote sensing. He currently serves as a visiting associate professor at Yamaguchi University Graduate School and as a strategic advisor to the university's Satellite Remote Sensing Research Center.
At CHECKMATE JAPAN, he is responsible for policy formulation and strategic planning in space strategy, security, life sciences, and government advisory services.
