Tristan Breijer

Tristan Breijer heads Checkmate Government Relations’ London office and advises

clients on international public and regulatory affairs across the United Kingdom, the

European Union, and multilateral institutions. He has extensive experience engaging

with the UK Parliament at Westminster, the European Parliament, and United

Nations convention processes on complex and politically sensitive regulatory

matters.

Prior to joining Checkmate, Tristan has led international policy and advocacy efforts

for a global diplomatic organization, coordinating strategy across London, Brussels,

Washington, D.C., and other capitals. His work involved close engagement with

governments, international organizations, and parliamentary stakeholders on highly

scrutinized policy files. He has advanced academic training in international policy,

business and sustainability and is based in London.
